ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Essential Functions
Performs and assists in research and development of new components, assemblies and processes as a member of the Product Development Team.
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype medical devices, process development activities, electrical circuitry, and test equipment.
Responsible for compliance with quality system procedures and all regulatory requirements.
Participates in onsite manufacturing prototyping/re-work/test of electronic medical equipment used for diagnostic or treatment purposes.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of related technical experience; technical training, degree and/or certification(s); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of machine shop practices and operations.
Intermediate to advanced skills on assembly, test, and troubleshooting catheter components is needed.
Intermediate to advanced skills in microelectronic soldering and rework, preferably in rework of HDI circuits and micro soldering under a microscope.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with manufacturing equipment including PM, calibration, and set up.
Medical device assembly a plus
Experience working within an ISO or FDA-type design control environment.
