Job Description:

  • Developing mechanical subassemblies, detailing and producing technical drawings.

  • Detailing injected molded parts.

  • Working with team members on testing and creating fixtures/mechanisms to meet R&D and pilot production goals.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining a computer aided design change control system.

  • Communicates effectively, and keeps other team members informed and shares all relevant information.


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred with 3-10 years professional experience developing machinery and plastic injected molded parts.

  • Three years minimum experience with Solidworks computer aided design software. Minimum one year experience with AutoCAD software.

  • Knowledge of technical drawing standards required.

  • Good understanding of fabrication/manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of mechanisms and creating CAD models and detailed technical drawings required.

  • Knowledge of injected molded part design required.

  • Competent using research tools to gather data and use it to problem solve.

  • Adapts to changing job specifications in a trial-and-error environment.

  • Independently follows appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and completes design documentation.

  • Experience with medical device design controls preferred.
