Job Description:
Developing mechanical subassemblies, detailing and producing technical drawings.
Detailing injected molded parts.
Working with team members on testing and creating fixtures/mechanisms to meet R&D and pilot production goals.
Assist in developing and maintaining a computer aided design change control system.
Communicates effectively, and keeps other team members informed and shares all relevant information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred with 3-10 years professional experience developing machinery and plastic injected molded parts.
Three years minimum experience with Solidworks computer aided design software. Minimum one year experience with AutoCAD software.
Knowledge of technical drawing standards required.
Good understanding of fabrication/manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of mechanisms and creating CAD models and detailed technical drawings required.
Knowledge of injected molded part design required.
Competent using research tools to gather data and use it to problem solve.
Adapts to changing job specifications in a trial-and-error environment.
Independently follows appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and completes design documentation.
Experience with medical device design controls preferred.
