We are seeking to hire a Senior Java Developer. This position is full-time and starts immediately.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working independently in a start-up environment. You are detailed oriented and goal driven. You are a capable problem solver who is comfortable researching solutions autonomously. You have excellent organizational skills and superior verbal and written communication skills.
Assist with the development from the ground up of an in-house solution for patient monitoring and patient management applications.
Work will focus on software development of client-side and server-side applications, data management, security implementation, and API development for integration with EHR platforms.
There are some supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. The core team manager roles and responsibilities are to help the employees complete their tasks so the business meets its targets. Operations they oversee may include: Planning and setting goals for the team; Conducting performance evaluations of employees; Supporting employees with training and development activities; Monitoring team performance to ensure objectives are met
8+ years software development experience
5+ years experience leading projects and teams in the medical device field.
Significant experience with Java Enterprise development (EJB, CDI, JPA, etc.)
Experience with relational or NoSQL database development
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other front-end development tools.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes container management
Familiarity with Big Data analytical APIs (Hadoop, Apache Spark, etc.)
Some degree of Linux experience (bash scripting, systemd services,)
Understanding of HITRUST, GDPR, and/or HIPAA security compliance
Familiarity with HL7/FHIR standards for EHR integration
Experience with Azure/AWS cloud platforms, in the following application areas: health care services, IoT hubs, financial services, scheduling applications, etc.
Helping support on-device application development and integration with back-end services.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
